Basset Hound Puppy Appearance
Basset Hound puppies are usually very short and lengthy. The Basset Hound originated from France in the early 1500’s. They are a cross breed of a male Artesian Normand and Basset Artesian Normand. The Basset Hound has short legs and a heavy muscular structure. The Basset Hound puppy has a smooth and short fur coat and in some cases some Basset Hound have a long haired coats.
The Basset Hound puppies usually come in many colors like red and white, lemon and white, brown and white. They have high sense of recognizing things by the smell.

They have long ears which is the special feature of the Basset Hound. The normal Basset Hound dog weighs about 50 to 65 pounds and some weigh up to 78 pounds. The female Basset Hound weighs less than the male basset hound.
The outer coat of the Basset Hound is hard and shiny. The Eyes of the basset Hound has a sad look to them, the eyes look drowned and red at all times. The Tail of a Basset Hound is long and generally not short, their paws are large but proportional to the Basset hounds size.
